Durness to Uig, Isle of Skye
Yesterday was a great ride and today was even better! We left our tiny bunk house room early and
reaped the rewards soon after. We were
in time to see 5 beautiful Deer on the side of the road. We were super excited to see the first one
tucked up by a small rocky outcrop, and did a U-turn to get photos of
him. Then just a few minutes later we
saw another one and when we did another U-turn to get photo’s we saw his three
mates as well, super super super excited!!! The scenery all the way from Durness was
stunning and once again we had several battery changes on the GoPro and my Lumix “on the go” camera.
We did get caught in a bit of rain this morning so some of
the photo have a few drops on them but it wasn't enough to soak through and the
views and deer made us forget about it anyway :) Our accommodation was in a great location
we had a great view out of our of the little village/harbour of Uig. We would have loved to stay another day but
the hotel prices up in this region are very expensive and hard to get. I have added a 6 week camper-van tour of
Scotland and Ireland to my bucket list.
Scotland is lovely and it’s a shame we can’t stay a lot longer.
Breakfast stop in the lovely village
of Ullapool.
Lots of on the go’s today.
View from our room.
