17th to 18th  August 2015
Karlsruhe to Wolfach (Black Forest)

After two good night’s sleep & feeling like a million dollars we headed out of Karlsruhe and into the Black Forest today.  What a great ride!  The weather was great the roads were good and the scenery was beautiful.  Wolfach is a gorgeous little town and our hotel is picture postcard perfect, seriously they have postcards with the hotel on it in the shops.

We spent today relaxing, taking pictures of the town, getting haircuts & and catching up on the blog.  Tomorrow is a big day as we have a few kilometres to cover before reaching Bad Ragaz, Switzerland tomorrow afternoon!

The view from our Karlsruhe hotel & feeling like a million dollars ready to hit the road!

On the go’s.

Time for a coffee!

More on the go’s.

The bike parked in front of our gorgeous hotel.

Around Wolfach.

St Goar to Karlsruhe

Feeling a bit better we left our lovely little hotel for an even lovely morning ride along the Rhine.  We covered the same stretch that we did on the boat yesterday but it isn't a view you would get tired of very quickly so it wasn't a problem.

We did get a little off track but that’s part of the adventure.  We ended up in Karlsruhe, a reasonable size city with a pretty Palace & Garden.  Our hotel was a bit of a gem, 4 stars for 69 euro including a fantastic breakfast and air-conditioning, Yah!

Back on the Bike feeling a little better.

You can never see to many Castle’s or old houses!

We left the Rhine and headed ....well we don’t know where we headed but Zumo apparently did.

A typical Zumo road!

In and around Karlsruhe.

Standing guard while the King of the castle relaxes!

Not sure if they were putting down roots or pulling them up?

You never can Tell what you will see...

13th – 14th August 2015
Duisburg, Germany to St Goar (Rhine River)

Well we still don’t feel brilliant but thankfully we are heaps better than the last couple of days.  The ride and the views today have made us feel better as well. Our hotel is in a picture perfect little town with a view of the Rhine out the room window, even the bathroom gets the vote for the best view from a toilet!

Maurice is in his element eating Schnitzel and Bratkatoffel.  On our second day in St Goar we decided to take a cruise on the river, and was a very relaxing, beautiful way to spend the day.

The most unusual set up we have seen on the road.

I know it is me in the photo but it is Maurice’s dinner.

There was literally hundreds of photo’s to pick from but this is just a few from St Goar and our little cruise.

Feeling a bit better after a relaxing day.
