A Bavarian feast in Bad Ragaz,
Switzerland!
A new tradition, well we hope so
anyway! Walter is a great Chef and treated
us to his version a Bavarian feast in 2012 so we asked if we could have a repeat
performance this trip! Maurice wanted
him to show him how to do it so there was an afternoon of cooking lessons with
Walter while Karin and I relaxed. Well, after we decorated the wintergarden.

Bad Ragaz, Switzerland
Maurice kept himself busy during the
first part of our visit by making some birds which have now settled into the Garden.
The treats keep coming, the past couple
of days we have had dinner at the Hotel
Tamina in Vättis; spent the day with Stefan as he recorded a show for Swiss TV and
watched as the cows were brought down from the Alps. We have really enjoyed every minute of it.
Migratory birds from South Australia to Switzerland.
Who wouldn't be happy living in such a beautiful place.
Even though we are not golfers you can’t help enjoying a
walk around the Bad Ragaz course.
A great meal in a great location, Hotel Tamina.
We had a really interesting day watching the recording of a
Swiss TV show. Of course there was beautiful scenery on the way to the location.
At this time of year all the cows come down from the Alps
and in the nearby village of Mels they have quite a few including ones from Karin’s family farm.
It is a very traditional event with lots of people dressing for the occasion
including the cows.
There are some hazards in following the cows back to the farm!
The end of another great day :)
