Matres to Itxassou

The Southern French country side is lush & green and all the flowers are in bloom which is very beautiful with one little draw back, I suffer with hay fever.  So after a nice ride though the little township of Matres and some  more of the beautiful country side we stopped for a coffee (naturally) and  conveniently there was a chemist right next door:)
Another coffee stop and yet more beautiful country side we reached a caravan park in Itxassou (no I had never heard of it either and still can't pronounce it).

I have a fascination with all the quirky things they put in their roundabouts.

We are going to lobby the Tasmania government to have this erected every where in the state!

The lady at the reception said the supermarket was only 1 1km walk away.  French kilometres must be different than Australian one's because we walked about 5kms and still didn't find it!  What we did find was a great little place to get good food and a small bottle of local Rose'
