22nd – 23rd  June 2015
Gibraltar, UK to Granada, Spain
After a English breakfast and a decent cup of tea, we did another quick lap around the rock before we headed back into Spain.  The weather is definitely getting hotter so more toll-ways today but this will be the last after spending 20+ Euro for the pleasure.  I know that doesn't sound much compared to some places but in Spain that would buy morning tea & lunch and in some cases isn't much less than a night’s accommodation.  Granada is a nice place to visit but unfortunately the main attraction, the Alhambra was booked out so we didn't get to see it, maybe next time after the lotto win :) To make up for it we went to see a Flamenco show, or should I say one and a little bit.  The first was so bad we left after 15 minutes ( a bit like the Scottish experience
 Karen. F.)

We were lucky again with our accommodation, this time a quiet street close to everything for 30 Euro.  SS Mk II had to stay on the street with the millions of other Motorcycles and Scooters but with a reasonably high Police presence and all the security devices we have on it Maurice was pretty relaxed about it.  Speaking of Police presence I didn't get any photo’s but at one of the toll-booths there was a large well armed Civil Guard presence stopping and checking every car for what we think was illegal immigrants.  They even had serious looking road spikes, they definitely weren't mucking around.
I nearly forgot to mention we found a great Tapas  bar where you order a drink and get free Tapas then your order another drink and get some more free Tapas.  We love free Tapas & we love Jambon (pictured above).  In fact we just love Spain :) :)

Breakfast & a good cup of tea in the pretty hotel courtyard to start the day.

Another quick ride around the rock.

Wow that’s hot! and the temperature is pretty warm as well J

Views around
Granada.

A bit of shade over the streets.
Pretty cobbled stone streets

Misters for the restaurant patrons

Tea anyone?

What tha....?

First night, we love Tapas!

Second night, we love good Flamenco!

The male dancer looked like the boy I was going out with before I joined the Navy (Trevor Haby)
but Maurice thought he looked like a young Dennis Morley.
