2015 07 25 Ilfracombe, England to Caldicot, Wales

25th July – 1st August 2015
Ilfracombe, England to Caldicot, Wales

We had a nice ride up along the Bristol Channel, across the Severn Bridge and in to Caldicot where we are staying with my sister for a couple of weeks.  Unfortunately earlier this    week we attended my brother Johns (the oldest of my two brothers over here) funeral.  A very sad way to be reunited with relatives.
On a happy note we have been able to catch up with a few of the family with more to come during the next week.  We also had a nice day out yesterday for Maurice’s birthday.  The weather has been wet and cold but the sun stayed out long enough yesterday to be able to sit outside for a little while.

We have until Friday here and then we head off to London for a couple of nights to catch up with one of Maurice’s Nieces.  Then back on the train to cross back into Europe.  That sounds easy but given the trouble they are having with the Eurotunnel due to thousands of illegal immigrants trying to get into the UK it may be a bit of a nightmare.

A couple of on the go’s from Ilfracombe.

Welsh cakes and Waitrose coffee .

New tyres delivered and fitted in the driveway.

Birthday day out at Clevedon.
